Copy or move Test Cases
You can copy or move Test Cases across projects to manage and organize test cases based on the project priorities.
Copy Test Cases across projects
Copying Test Cases helps duplicate and reuse Test Cases across projects and folders. It creates a copy of the Test Case with all the field values exactly as they were at the time of copying. It is important to note that any changes made to the original Test Case after copying will not be reflected in the copied version.
By copying Test Cases, you can achieve the following:
- Copy a single Test Case within the same project or between projects.
- Copy multiple Test Cases within the same project or between projects.
Follow these steps to copy test cases:
-
Navigate to the project where the Test Cases to be copied are available.
-
Select the checkboxes against the Test Cases you want to copy.
-
Click Copy.
A Copy Test Cases pop-up appears.
-
From Target Project dropdown, select the project.
By default, the target project for copied test cases is the same as the source project. However, you can change the target project to any other project in the dropdown.
-
Select an existing folder to copy the Test Cases or click Create Folder to create a new folder.
-
Click Copy Test Cases.
After the copying is complete, a success notification appears with the link to the project folder where the Test Cases were copied.
Move a test case
To move a test case to another folder:
- Select the test case. You can move multiple test cases at a time.
- Click Move.
- Select the destination Folder or click Create Folder to create a new folder.
- Click Move Test Cases to move the test case to the destination folder.
